STAINLESS STEEL FABRICATION

EL ES DE Engineering was contracted by Aker Solutions, a leading provider of engineering services in oil & gas, refining & chemicals, mining & metals and power generation, to fabricate all aspects of a fully stainless steel Hydraulic Power Unit.

The HPU contains an assortment of hydraulic pumps, reservoirs, piping, and control panels.

The client’s requirements were for all components to be stainless steel 316L, with specific surface finish and welder qualifications to AWS D1.1.

The fabrication process was carried out from client supplied drawing and models. Although in order to meet tight deadlines and quality levels, EL ES DE manufacturing engineers had to utilise their expertise in order to translate the client’s drawings to more manufacturing friendly profile cutting drawings and CAD models.

The ability to source all the materials: structural sections, plate, sheet metal, hinges, door releases, and have the fabrication expertise and welding qualifications meant that EL ES DE was able to produce the final product to the exacting standards and timing that Aker Solutions required.
